No. Europe was warmer from 1100-1300 than it is now. But that was an anomaly. It ended with the Little Ice Age in the mid-1400. It is thought that the colder, wetter weather and the resulting crop failures made the Plague much worse than it would have been if people had been healthier.

However, it is warmer now than it was prior to the 12th-14th centuries. CO2 in the atmosphere is also higher. Average temps. have gone up, isotherms and ecological niches have shifted northward over the past few decades. The solar constant has not changed by any measure we use. So claiming greater insolation has that little inconvenient fact to deal with...
