Your response to the idea (I won't even call it a theory) that oil just wells up out of the earth was remarkably patient. It seems quite odd that an idea is considered sound because it comes out of the former Soviet Union; it was the Soviet government that tried to keep the Lamarckian theory of evolution (acquired characteristics) in favor because it fitted better with Marxist dogma. That guy probably secretly believes in astrology and is just barely intelligent enough not to let people know that he does.
