Yes, many are law-abiding, but many are also callous, unrealistic and have no concern for public safety. Many NRA types have paranoid fantasies which could turn out to be a self-fulfilling prophesy. Also, the NRA has way too much effect on elections and are very dishonest about how they go about it. Attacking life-long hunter, marksman and combat hero John Kerry was a dishonest blow by the NRA far right. The only wing-nut slinging dishonest hyperbole is you - trying to paint the majority of Americans as nuts. Rights are never to be given back to the government lightly - would you support restrictions on free speech as well. Especially free speech against your lover J. Kerry?
