re:You should be wishing for Bush's removal. Even if he gets OBL which is very doubtful at this point, the movement OBL has started will not be stopped. Do you really think you can hunt done every Muslim that opposes the US presence in Saudi Arabia?

Never - that movement still depends on it's state sponsors Syria and Iran.

This is why your side gets nowhere fast. You keep looking for nation state scapegoats. Al Qaida does not have national boundaries. It is a movement that transcends boundaries. It's as idealistic and ideological as the American push for independence over two hundred years ago.

Its main reason for being is to oust the dictators of the ME, ending years of corruption and oppression, and supplant them with Islamic theocracies. Removing the 'infidels' [that's us] from Muslim territory is a lesser goal that is growing in importance.

You can hamstring Syria and Iran all you want.......ultimately, that won't stop al Qaida. In fact with Syria, I suspect there is little correlation between the two.

And to hit al Qaida head on is to only give them more power. Every time we strike at them, its as if we transfer power to them. When you all understand that very basic of concepts, then you all will stop this ridiculous war and find more constructive ways to oppose them.
