Thank you for your comments (and Sivertoad as well). Sounds like it is a realistic option, maybe some day I'll do it. The same strategy of LTBH-ing futures could be also applied to major indices, it would appear. Wonder if there would be significant losses involved (a la the 5% on gold futures). Would guess this should not be the case - no need for storage, etc.

About leverage - I do like it for a quick trade, but would only use it super-conservatively for longer term holdings.... ;)
