There were Christian hangings less than a hundred years ago. A few years ago, Klan members were found burning down black churches in the South. The Dixie Chick events were just two years ago.

Having said that, sure Christians are better behaved than they were in the Medieval Ages and sure Muslims in some ways are behind us but that gap is not as great as you would like to believe. That is my point.
