<<<Scottrade #1 rated for three years by AAII. Anyone know what they pay in their sweep account? TIA>>>

Bernie
My understanding is Scottrade does not have a sweep account. There "cash account" pays a variable interest depending on the balance. The rates starts at 0.9% ($1,000) and increases to about 2.1% for $25,000 if I remember correctly. It does not approach the old Harris rate.

Another thing I discovered is they do not trade the Canadian stocks listed on the pink sheets. They trade the Canadian stocks directly for $27/trade + perhaps something per share. Not attractive if you are in the oil sands.

I suggest calling the office nearest you and discuss what you desire in a trading platform.

I still have not received a complete accounting of transactions from the old Harris accounts. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
