I still have the "one for the thumb in '81" bumper sticker ... that was all around Pittsburgh in the fall of 1980. Joe Greene was wearing it. It's pretty cool.

I take it you don't like the quarter of a century later "one for the thumb," Manuel. I wouldn't either if the Seahawks were my team.

The officiating causes the game to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Generally, the Seahawks only got one break: the 80-yard interception return when the Steelers were close to icing the game.

The Seahawks were frequently their own worst enemies. Dropped passes, bad time management, and a huge hole for Willie Parker to split at the beginning of the second half.

I don't think either team played particularly well. Young quarterbacks on edge. The Steelers simply rose to the occasion at crucial times. You've gotta hand it to Hines Ward ... and Bill Cowher has a lot of spunk, fire, and determination. I just get the impression that fire and hunger won out.

Que sera sera. I still "love you man" and wish both teams could've won. Like last spring. Illinois vs. North Carolina in the NCAA title game. I wanted both teams to win then too.
