Its a common myth among whites that if you work hard, you will become rich. However, study after study has disproved that myth. Sure there are the Oprah Winfreys but they are much more rare than Americans realize.

I would say that if you are smart/talented and you pursue wealth, then you will become rich. With the entry of cheap Indian/Chinese labor into the world economy, "working hard" (as in factory work, etc.) will no longer help you to get rich. The message is educate yourself if you want to become rich, and then get the people that are uneducated but willing to "work hard" to work for you....
