The wonderful Danes have a history of that. Only 15 years ago or so Jens Jorgen Thorsen finally got the money to make his provocative film about Jesus Christ, which he had been planning on making since the early 70s.

Back then foreign lobbies made sure that he couldn't get funding for it.

So this is in no way a movement against Muslims only.
This is closely linked to the Danish lack of respect for and faith in any kind of authorities.
They just don't accept overseers in their life!

I actually was hanging out with JJ Thorsen and Jorgen Nash (brother of Asger Jorn, google him) a couple of times in Copenhagen long time ago when I studied there. You would have loved those guys. No evil in them, just too much fun I guess.
