Elroy, you are starting to argue for the sake of arguing like in our past exchanges. If that's all you want to do........to denigrate what I have to say because I am saying it, then tell me now. I will end this exchange asap.

I asked for support of your claim that the average Saudi does not support his/her government. You come back with things that sounds reprehensible to Americans, but are a way of life in Saudi. You therefore assume the Saudis think they are reprehensible. That's just not correct logic.

Americans think making women wear black (only) and cover their faces in all public places would be horrible. I've seen zero proof that Saudi men or women (in general) feel the same way. In fact I've read the women like it because it prevents them from having to deal with irritating men bothering them.

So do you have any proof that the average Saudi does not like his government? It means more than 50% of Saudis are opposed to their monarchy.

I have no idea what the real support level is, but at least I know that I don't know.

And as long as the Saudi government is the ruling family, they cannot rob the country of its wealth because the country belongs to them....silly.

Why not? Robber barons don't have to be from another country.

You don't understand. Under their monarchy system the royal family owns ALL of Saudi Arabia. Everything is theirs, so they can't be stealing from themselves. The subjects own NONE of SA, other than what the royals may decide to give them.
