Most of what I have written could be replaced in the discussion by a defined benefit pension. Sure there are differences and a pension is just a part of what I describe, but I think it's a reasonable substitute that is concrete and people understand better than the fish story.

Just look at what happened to all the pensions, and it should be obvious why relying of the nobles oblige of the stockholders is not as effective as a law would have been.
