re:All you have to do is pass the standard backgrouond check and have the money to buy the expensive guns and pay the extreme tax, which is sometimes more than the gun.

You also need to live in a State that does not have an outright ban on full auto - I know the rules quite well. The point was the Assault weapons ban had nothing to do with class III weapons.
