A commodity clack board was a big board that hung on the wall, it had all the different futures markets on them, and right under the name of each market were a set of numbered rollers, much like the old fashioned gasoline pump that had numbered rollers (like a slot machine has rollers), and the rollers would roll to show the price... prices were changing constantly, and each time prices changed the board would make a clacking sound, a loud clacking sound... you can imagine with several markets how noisy the room became... then came computers and everything changed... everything changes... but of course, the only place you'll never find change is in a vending machine... forget about it...
