If the US wants to keep using oil, they should drill the ANWR, Drill more in the Fl side of the gulf of mexico. Drill off the continental shelf of Georgia and South Carolina.
In addition, run a pipeline over to Russia across the bering straight. Cut out the Arab states as much as possible.
Promote alternative energy on the other end.
