We have way too many guns, but so long as the NRA is controlling enough congressmen by intimidation, we will just have more and more of them. The real purpose of the NRA is to sell more guns, bullets and expensive weapons for gun profits, no different than the tobacco lobby, the liquor lobby or the oil lobby. Also, there is a whites-only attitude in the NRA which gives it a whiff of a redneck white supremicist organization with a touch of Timothy McVeigh. The NRA is basically not what it claims to be.
