I believe that many people hold many different views of the world- very few based on logic. That's just the way it is. Everyone with a religious viewpoint, for example, is coming from the irrational- and that's a lot of people, with a lot of different viewpoints, but at bottom, they are all grounded in the irrational. These are people taking a leap of faith, and basing the rest of their lives upon it (and I might even argue, also basing their lives on the propaganda of whatever religion has captured them, and on political systems that may also be in the thrall of a religious ideology.)

Not only is my belief simple, I can provide examples from all time periods for it. It's basically relativism, combined with a healthy dose of skepticism, and the "belief" that immaterial unprovable beliefs, make for irrational cornerstones. Of course I am in a small minority because I believe this, and I know I am.
