You could have kidded me. It's only those who support what the Bush administration is doing who consider its actions to be "legitimate". By no stretch of the imagination could those actions be considered legal in an impartial/international court of law.counterpunch.org >>Despite massive cover-ups, the evidence is emerging: the Bush administration planned an illegal war of aggression against Iraq, conned the American people and their representatives into supporting it, conducted an illegal occupation marked by massive violation of Iraqi human rights, and justified and promoted systematic torture. Now the White House seeks opportunities for further criminal attacks against Iran, Syria, and other countries around the world, issuing threats to use death squads and nuclear weapons at will. These acts violate American law, international law, and the basic values of the American people. They are crimes against peace and crimes against humanity. They are outlawed by the Geneva Conventions, the UN Charter, and treaties against torture and other human rights abuses. They are war crimes, and those who ordered and condoned them are war criminals. Bush administration malfeasance can be described as a problem of democracy, of human rights, of usurpation, of the rule of law, of constitutionalism, or of war crimes. These terms all point to the same fundamental problem: those in charge of the political and military apparatus of the U.S. government are using it to further a criminal enterprise in violation of national and international law. <<rwor.org > How about a terrorist attack on a U.S. nuclear installation?!? Your guess is as good as mine but make no mistake, the Israelis, who are masters of the "false flag" operation, will advise the Bush administration accordingly. > Tit for tat response to Iran, only 100 times more powerful our response would be. I have read that if Iran responds to a USrael first strike by sending rockets armed with "weapons of mass destruction" ie chemical weapons, to attack targets in Israel or Saudi etc, USrael will reply with a massive nuclear response. So, I ask you, if Israel says it's been attacked with poison gas, as in Gulf War 1, how does anyone really know where the rocket(s) came from or, indeed, if there were rockets at all?
