Sometimes when I am accused of being paranoid about Bush I can only think "I hope so".

The conservatives are waking up to the pending nightmare too.

Very true - but they should have learned after losing two elections that simple demonizing isn't enough. Just like the pro-Bush crowd digging in their heels and repeating the same old mantras won't get Bush's polls out of the dumps, or position a likeminded successor to carry on his policies.

So we have a stubborn insular wing in the minority on one side and a chaotic, disorganized fuss-fest on the other, neither of which looks poised to make significant political progress this year or in 2008.

Which is why I started this thread.
