Which will accomplish what?

Israel can clearly dominate the Palestine militarily, this is not new. But unless they choose genocide, they are stuck with the problem. If they choose genocide, they are hosed on the world scene. So they are stuck either way.

Or do you subscribe to the notion that if Israel is 'tough' enough on the Palestinians, somehow they are going to change their voting behavior and choose to cooperate with Israel?

You need to consider the final outcome, not the next step, especially if the next step is backwards.

Iraq is currently a mess precisely because people entrusted with planning that escapade failed to understand how Iraqi's would react to the individual steps taken.
