In the age of kings, when the founders wrote the bill of rights, the people in the army were just like you and me too. In Hitler's army, the soldiers were people just like you and me as well, even the ones marching Jews into the ovens. Don't be so naive - people like you and me are capable of some terrible things. A famous psychological experiment had people like you and me adminisitering electric shocks up into the lethal range to other people like you and me, under orders from authority figures.
