This is somebody's idea of a joke, right? A perpetual WAR-monger like Bolton, nominated for the PEACE prize?!

One of Bolton's Republican critics - Sen. George Voinovich of Ohio -- now says he thinks Bolton is doing a good job.

"I spend a lot of time with John on the phone. I think he is really working very constructively to move forward," Reuters quoted Voinovich as saying on Monday.

Voinovich added that he's still watching Bolton -- but, "at this stage of the game I am pleased with the progress that is being made here and the team that he has gathered together here."

Wonder what they dug up against Voinovich? Since they are free to bypass FISA and spy on any American....

Talking about Bolton and other apostles of peace...

"Deputy Assistant Attorney General John Yoo claims that the President has the inherent authority as commander-in- chief to bypass all laws that conflict with Bush's war on terrorism. Yoo has been reported as saying that Congress has no power to "tie the President's hands in regard to torture as an interrogation technique." And perhaps even more striking is Yoo's definition of torture, which to a large degree has been accepted and endorsed by the Bush Administration. Torture, according to Yoo, requires physical pain that is "equivalent in intensity to the pain accompanying serious physical injury, such as organ failure, impairment of bodily function, or even death." "

So, pulling out a prisoner's fingernails is not torture?

No CNS, please. That's Brent Bozell's dishonest propaganda website. You should not be reading it if you value truthfulness. That is the same website which put out the phony story about Democrats receiving money from Abramoff, when they did not take a dime from him.

Zero tolerance for rightwing lies from now on. Got it?

That CNS article is total hogwash. A clear example of dishonest fabrication and spin. Bolton, who is universally distrusted at the UN, and by many GOP moderates like Voinovich, has done nothing to earn their trust. But CNS takes some phony Nobel Prize nomination, the same thing Tookie Williams got from some supporter (anyone is free to nominate anyone for a Nobel Prize), as "proof" that Bolton is doing a great job. Yeah right. As if.

Already on Bolton's watch, Iran has grown more dangerous and Palestine has fallen into the hands of Hamas. Plus, the Iraq War Bolton helped perpetrate is an even bigger mess than ever before. With no end in sight.

Also, I might add that the "corruption" at the UN Bolton is supposed to "reform" is nowhere near as the corruption now underway in Iraq. 8.9 billion are missing, for one thing, and Bolton and the Bushies refuse to investigate it. Maybe because they're responsible for stealing it. Whatever.
