Yep ..

The 'ole SUV is going 90 mph and
I can see the brick wall straight ahead ..
Problem is no one's at the wheel ..
Wheeeeee !!! ...... Splat ......

Actually .. It's worse than that ..
After the 'break' neither Evans nor
Richardson were willing to admitt that
there is no viable alternative to replace
our dependancy on foreign oil .. Just a
reiteration of the same tired proposals ..
a few new nukes, some wind, some bio-fuels,
more natural gas ( aaaahhhh yeah ) .. never
mind that nothing presently proposed can 'scale'
to the magnitude needed relative to present
consumption rates .. To paraphase Major Nagin
of NO ... " It's too dog-gone late " ..

I think we're on our own as far as personal
PO mitigation efforts are concerned ....

Triff ..

Mr. Wizard,

Knowing how you like gadgets and new inventions
as much as I do I figured I'd post this:

Hydro-generator. Uses water pressure to
generate electricity.
