I understand how you are reading what you posted but it can be read in an alternate way if you try to get under their skin. "We won the war." We drove the Jews out of gaza. We rule a state. We are proud. Blah blah blah." Sort of how Sadat used the better showing of the egyptians in the 73 war to gain some capital to end their war. I know and you know that they used terror and terror is disgusting whenever its used but for them it was an heroic effort against overwhelming odds. Now they have some capital either to wage further war and terror of to settle this thing once and for all. The world needs it to be settled and both israel and hamas will be under pressure to at least try. Peace is either made between clear winners imposed on clear losers or two peoples who are tired of a never ending assymetric conflict. Yeah the odds are Hamas will blow it but that shouldnt stop us from trying.
