The reason is that the two largest Swiss banks are today multinationals with extensive business interests in the U.S.

These moves are hurting the Swiss banking business as the gist of this article illustrates. The smaller banks clearly would like to get the Iranian business but because the big boys announced loudly that they are not interested and in fact would like to divest themselves of Iranian assets (U.S. pressure?), the general impression left is that Switzerland is now less of a safe heaven.
