And you could be right-- I would guess geographically, it breaks down with a much higher percentage of trust in the midwest. But Bush is making a big effort to talk up support for the war and his actions, so he knows he has lost support on this. This is just another piece of that same issue; why make it worse with that circling the wagons stuff? "Stick it in your eye" seems a pretty adolescent activity for a VP, but that shouldn't surprise me. He certainly isn't the only one, and it certainly isn't confined to either side of the aisle. Our heating bill was half what it was last year! We have had the mildest winter I can remember-- so I won't whine if I have to go find a coat.
