Nope. The Japanese were always smart, disciplined, and self-reliant. There is nothing smart, disciplined, or self-reliant about Muslims in the Middle East.

at one point some terrorist groups targeted only children (to force parents to move away).

Kamikazes were never terrorists, their targets were not civilians but US military.
