Nope, not kidding. Apparently, no background check or waiting period is required when you're buying a gun from a "private collection" at a gun show in Utah. I've heard similar stories about Texas, but I wouldn't be surprised if most Red states are that way. You can also buy pistols that are advertised in the classifieds in Utah. I doubt much background checking goes on there either. You should go to the next gun show in your area. It's like visiting a foreign country if you've never owned a gun. They're really fascinating. At the ones here in Utah, they even have full auto machine guns for your perusal. You can also check out the .50 cal. sniper rifles that can shoot 2 miles!
