Well, the current crop of idiots who run this administration didn't believe when they were told that Saddam was contained! It turns out that he was indeed boxed in for over 10 years and had no way to get out...

But is the policy one of containment and ensuring the absence of nukes? Or it it one of oil-grab? If it is the latter, then surely air strikes alone cannot do the job...

I actually think the best way to deal with the Middle East is through air wars.

How about halt US support for Israel, and leave the ME alone? If those losers can't get along with each other, let them fight and kill each other. It's THEIR fight, not ours. A

Americans can stay home and eat hot dogs, watch baseball, raise families and develop smaller semiconductors.
