Yes, that's what Rose said but, in fact, the ball can bounce anywhere. By publishing Ahmadinejad's "cartoons", even as a challenge, he cranks up both anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim hatred and anger. He doesn't "neutralize" the effects of the Mohammed cartoons, he adds to them.

Exactly and, in fact, they are playing a very dangerous game because neither the Jews nor the Muslims will find any of it funny. As you know, I'm not religious so none of it means anything to me from that point of view, but from a human point of view I shudder to think how people can be so horrible to one another -- and for what? As a prelude to killing one another?!
