Enron/Ken Lay were Bush's all-time biggest supporters. Between the two (which are basically the same entity) Bush received almost 1.5 million in cash, free private jet rides, free office space, free entertainment and fundraising expenses, free staff salaries and who knows what else. After Enron was exposed and fell, Bush dishonestly claimed he hardly knew Ken Lay. Try again, GW. Those two were the cloest of allies for more than a decade. In fact Bush wanted Lay as Secretary Of The Treasury or Energy. His first choice. Lay turned it down.
