Mark, I suspect you are yet another unknowing victim of a single-payer school system. No nation becomes great by penalizing the productive to buy off the indolent. The proper function of government is to provide a framework where individuals can succeed - or fail - according to their effort and ability, and sometimes, luck. To do otherwise is to interfere with the process where a society assimilates and acts upon widely disseminated knowledge. Damn shame that so many of your kind have only illusions, rather than information and understanding.

The OTHER half of the country, well actually 3 million plus more of the people thought you were wrong in the last election. Did you get a tax cut? I did...everyone did...but what you want is the old failed system of tax the rich and give it all to those who are not willing to work. The fact is, to do what Peanuts Carter and that """reverend""" did at a memorial was classless.....as is most of the democratic party. democrats made a mockery of Wellstone's memorial and now King's too.
