I'm just pointing out that from a Muslim perspective, the USA is indeed scary.

Hell, it depends upon which muslim perspective you're referring to. If you're a Sunni, the Shi'a domination of Iraq is scary.

But it you're a Shi'a, the fanatical attacks upon their mosques by Takfirist Al Qai'da militants is scary...

The only answer, IMO, is to attempt to instill a sense of tolerance via a democratic system whereby disparate beliefs and interests can peacefully haggle out their differences.

Muslims believe in Jesus and his teachings as well. Why many of them seem to have ignored the Golden Rule (love thy neighbor as one loves thyself, and love the lord God with all thy heart, Mark 12:28-31) is a mystery only their senior clerics can answer.

It's a belief that is a major teaching in most religions.

Methinks it's because Muslim have forgotten that Jesus taught that we should live in the world, but be not OF the world.
