Paper won't run Holocaust cartoons
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
COPENHAGEN, Denmark

The top editor of the Danish newspaper whose caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad sparked rage throughout the Islamic world said Wednesday the daily would not reprint Holocaust cartoons being solicited by an Iranian newspaper.

Editor-in-Chief Carsten Juste said his newspaper Jyllands-Posten "in no circumstances will publish Holocaust cartoons from an Iranian newspaper."

Publishing anti Holocaust cartoons in Denmark?
Or in any non Muslim country?
That would never happen and you know that, free speech or not.

Iran invites cartoons on Holocaust

I think that's cool. Tit for tat.....why not? It makes more sense then lobbing bombs at each other or burning down embassies........and the cost is much less.

I agree. It will be interesting if the Iranians are organized enough that when they publish their holocaust cartoons that they then reference every publication which defended the Danish cartoons and request comment.

That could lead to an interesting exchange......one their rulers would probably not like. Iranians are some of the better educated people in the ME. In spite of the fact their president got a majority of the vote, I would be surprised if more than 50% of the population is behind some of his more outrageous rhetoric.

It would be better if the Iranians gave the Danish paper the final holocaust cartoons and asked the Danish paper to publish them. The Danes are the so called promoters of free speech regardless of the effect, let them also publish the holocaust cartoons and bear the negative reaction.

I agree.
