07:55 XMSR XM Satellite upgrade details (24.61 )

As mentioned at 7:25, Stifel upgraded XMSR to Buy from Hold with a $34 tgt. Firm notes that XMSR has been weak recently, mainly because of expected weakness in a couple of key metrics (subs & CPGA) due to GM and Howard Stern. They expect these metrics to improve in 2006 and think the market is under-appreciating XMSR's long-term position with car manufacturers. Firm says major 2006 catalysts include potential increased OEM commitments, particularly from Toyota, which has yet to disclose much, and GM, which plans to lower the factory install price substantially next year. XM should also exhibit an improvement in market share as the initial impact from Stern wanes and if Sirius raises its subscription price.
