lorne, you have a problem comprehending things I presume. Your suntimes post repeated what I said.

You seriously think Bush is an astute politician? If you do then your knowledge of politics is poor. Let me again try to state the issue in a manner which hopefully your simple thinking mind will comprehend.

When a world leader speaks to defuse a situation such as the cartoon issue, he/she would not typically take sides with any warring group. In the case of Chirac, he came out and said that we all need to act "in a manner which respects each other." End of story from Chirac. That respect for each other speaks volumes for both warring parties.

Bush on the other hand comes out and says, violence is bad and I cannot support it even if it offended the religious sentiments of one group.

It is similar to where a chain smoker walks upto a priest and says "Father can I smoke while I am praying" And the priest says "No. You pray while you are praying". Then he asks the question this time around in a different way. "Father, can I pray while I am smoking." The priest said "Well Yes."

Bush is like that stupid priest. He is not a leader. He is a cowboy.
