He isn't calling people marxists. "Folk marxism" might not be the best term because of the potential confusion with actual marxists, but Kling doesn't mean "marxism" when he says "folk marxism". Also he doesn't apply it to anyone he disagrees with. It is defined as "the belief that political economy can be explained in terms of classes of oppressors and oppressed". He didn't make up the term all that long ago but as far as I can tell he has used it consistently since then, rather then twisting it around to use as a slam term against any group or person who annoys him.
