Wrong. Borrowing is an emergency measure and there was no emergency in early 2001.

Bush had no need to start racking up huge deficits. True, he had a Clinton surplus to spend and careful tax cuts were in order, but GW Bush went way beyond any prior president, literally hocking our future and putting us trillions more in debt within a few short years. If Bush had been honest he'd have continued what Clinton did, that is making a balanced budget a priority. But Bush threw all that away and lied about it.

It is an absolutely irresponsible economic plan because it is perpetrated with a bunch of big lies and false promises and there is no plan whatsoever for how to pay off all the mammoth deficits.

We need responsible adults back in charge of our government, not reckless selfish pirates like Bush and his gang.

re: don't cheat by using deficit spending as your only tool to create a growth

there is nothing wrong with borrowing as long as the net effect is positive
