Lots of immigrants have adopted the new land as their own. Oneof the complaints about Muslims in Europe is just that- -that they AREN'T doing that and instead are forming Muslim ghettoes. If you go to London, you can see this.

Here in the US they largely have, they largely have blended in and accepted this country as theirs. They end up holding middle and upper class jobs and have no desire to return to their homelands.
