Re: To my knowledge, bin Laden has never taken credit for the 1993 WTC bombing....just the Africa bombings and 9/11.

LOL... More accurately, the US media-military complex claimed more than THREE years after 9/11 as the US was in the runup to the 2004 presidential election that OBL claimed responsibility for 9/11... Better late than never, eh? But remember that, in the weeks following 9/11, all we got from OBL was a videotape where he merely praised the suicide hijackers. Oddly enough, OBL never claimed responsibility for the killing of A.S. Massoud nor praised the two Tunisian suicide-killers who allegedly killed Massoud....

Bin Laden Claims Responsibility for 9/11
Saturday, October 30, 2004

WASHINGTON — Usama bin Laden (...) made his first televised appearance in more than a year Friday in which he admitted for the first time ordering the Sept. 11 attacks and accused President Bush of "misleading" the American people.

Injecting himself into the campaign four days ahead of the presidential election, bin Laden said the United States can avoid another Sept. 11-style attack if it stops threatening the security of Muslims.

In the portion of the tape that was broadcast, the Al Qaeda (search) leader refrained from directly warning of new attacks, although he said "there are still reasons to repeat what happened."
