Hi Eddie, That's sort of what I do, but in smaller increments.

At about 30% above my last buy (I buy in small increments, too) I start to part out the shares. So instead of waiting for a double, I wait for a 30% rise. Then sell more at 10% rises afterward (approx.).

It's sort of scale trading but slightly different. The method works best with stocks in a trade range.
