Is Israel a state now? Half of its neighboring countries don't think so. I think the UN voted to recognize Israel in '47 or '48, although all of its neighboring countries voted NO in that vote. If Cuba said Israel is a state but Jordan says no, was Israel a state then?

Anyway, it wasn't around in the 1920s.
