Since you're in the ME - can you elaborate on how Muslims square their "respect" for women and the 70 virgins thing. I realize it's not all Muslims with this virgin thing - but I don't understand - do they think the women are not real, not muslim, infidels, gifts without souls - what? Sorry, I have no idea. Relations between men and women are about 100 years behind out here, however. Most marriages are arranged, schools are segregated and most youth do not date or socialize with the opposite sex in public (although a few do).
