I thought we went into Iraq after 19 Muslim extremists killed 3,000 innocent Americans on September 11th.

And after Muslim extremists killed American troops aboard the USS Cole.

And after Muslim extremists killed American troops at Khobar Towers.

And I was just sure those African Embassies were blown up by Muslim radicals before we went into Iraq.

Scarborough is the perfect example of the myth of the left wing media. He uses Coulterisms here (untruths presented as fact in a pithy wrapper) to anchor his argument. The same Coulterisms used by radical Muslims to paint America as the 'Evil Empire'.

What Scarborough fails to see is that most Muslims do NOT believe we're in Iraq to go after terrorists. If we were, why won't we have invaded, say, Saudi Arabia, where most of the 9/11 hijackers hailed from, or Yemen, a notorious den of lawlessness? Their anger has built up over what they perceive as deception and lies by the Bush administration and, by association, everything Western.

Scarborough is the bookend to the imans who declare holy war, or fatah's for suicide, or advocate violence in response to cartoons. They both can't open their eyes long enough to see the real source of the problems.
