Gee?? The police have not burned down my house lately or murdered my family or bombed my car??

No one with the opinion that violating a law isn't automatically an attack on society has burned down my house lately or bombed my car either.

There is no more connection between that idea and violence than between the cops and violence, probably less connection. The cops use force ("claw, fang, and talon") relatively frequently.

Like the rest of your response, this demonstrates an abysmal ignorance of the rights and freedoms enjoyed under the Constitution and reflected in laws which protect those rights

I have a very solid understanding of constitutional rights.

My post couldn't display either ignorance or knowledge of these rights and freedoms because it isn't about rights and freedoms. While such rights and freedoms are important, and I'm glad I have them, they are mostly irrelevant to my post.

The fact that you separate yourself from the Government when the Government rests on "we the people"

A democratic government is still something separate from me. I can to an extent influence it. It can to a great extent influence me. I generally respect it. It might respect me. But I am not the government and it is not me. The fact that I get to vote, and to lobby the government only means I can effect it. It reduces the distance between us but it doesn't make us one and the same.
