These people are scary.....its like they have been lifted from the characters of the book, 1984. Even the Dems are picking up on the "protecting" theme, saying stuff like "we have to protect the American people". It's so wimpy... we need protection from each other more than anyone else. The odds of dying from a terrorist are SO VERY SLIM it's almost not worth calculating. The "long war" is very 1984... next step is the permanent war. THAT will justify everything (including a third Bush term). John
