This is regretfully how it starts and not how it ends. Intimidation works. Simple awareness of these stories reduce the willingness of people to openly communicate. epcc.edu "The Nazi party implemented a gripping system of control through fear. There was constant dread of being reported and punished for behavior not sanctioned by the Nazis" It is even easier now to monitor non compliance with tolerated behavior (not violations of the law, mind you!). Just monitor the Web, Google Searches and File, emails and telephone conversations and you don't need your kids or neighbors to implicate you anymore. This isn't freedom, anything but!
