"The Walking Drum," Haq. As a matter of fact, that novel was very complimentary of the Muslim culture. Of course, it was set back in the 11th century, when they were at their zenith.

L'Amour also wrote a lot of detective stories and adventure stories.

"The Last of the Breed" was set in modern times. Most of the action was in Siberia. The hero was an Ameican Indian jet pilot.

L'Amour also published a volume of poetry, "Smoke From This Altar."
