Has any progress been made towards rebuilding, or building, as the case may be, any structures which will protect the region from Hurricane Season 2006?

I think not.

How about chains of command and pre-positioning in case Hurricane Season 2006 turns out like Hurricane Season 2005?

I think not.

There are approximately 15 habitable residences in St. Bernard Parish, according to the Parish president (or whatever he is). As I recall, I said last year that St. Bernard was "wiped out" and you did your usual personal attacks that you love so well. But he's a Democrat and the Bushbots all agree that Democrats are liars. Nothing like politicizing horrendous personal misery to turn the rest of the population's stomach.

But a lot of restaurants have reopened in Orleans Parish, so you can go back to smoking your cigars and drinking your wine in lovely courtyards. Carpe diem.
