The "old" way to do it in version 8.1 was to just right click on the chart in some free space and then when the pop up window comes up, select "Chart Window Properties" then select "show inner window splitter bars" and "Show inner window Title bars".

I always do the two together and even in this version, sometimes it will glitch and not show them. I can always deselect then reselect and it will will suddenly work normal again.

Does the version 9 allow you to store more data? I recently ran into numerous glitches due to having too much data and MetaStock not knowing how to date it. It is kind of like a Y2K thing. I have DOW and NYSE index data back to the turn of the century but it shows it as the wrong date in some of the menus. I was able to dump it in the past, reload it then get it to work up until this week. Now when I try to do quote feed updates, it crashes. I had to dump about 30 years of data off the beginning to get it to work again.

It isnt that big a deal since I don't use that old stuff very often but once in a while it is nice to use as a reference. I still haven't updated to version 9 yet. I am just not sure if it is worth the hastles.

Good Luck,

Lee
